The Arizona Diamondbacks acquire lefty reliever Jon Coutlangus from the Reds
The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired 27-year old lefty reliever Jon Coutlangus from the Reds for outfielder Daniel Perales. Coutlangus pitched in 64 games (0 starts) for the Reds as a rookie last season and he was 4-2 with a 4.39 ERA and a 1.59 WHIP. He will likely start in AAA-ball but he will likely get called up soon if he pitches well there because the D-Backs currently only have 1 lefty in the bullpen. Daniel Perales wasn’t one of the better prospects in the D-Backs minor league system so they won’t likely miss him too much.
I am taking a vacation to Phoenix this Summer and want to check out Chase Field. Can someone recommend a good section to sit in? I don’t want to spend a ton of money but get nice seats for my wife and Father in law. Any help would be appreciated!
I like the move here. Arizona has been a strong team so far this season, but the bullpen can always improve. Chad Qualls is a nice set-up man with Tony Pena, but until Lyon locks in as the closer, more options is a sure fire good thing.
Hey, what happened to your blog? You have the best team in baseball through the first month-plus, you should be screamin’ from the heavens!!!
